    Hi,

When there are no future events, I get a ‘Page not found’ on my event listings page. I’ve narrowed it down to a theme conflict (I’m using Customizr, most recent version, but same issue existed in previous version). When using a standard theme I get the usual ‘No results found’ message.
    Any solutions or workarounds?

    Thanks in advance, cheers,
    Leo

  • Hi @stickypixels,

It’s indeed a bit odd that you’d be getting different “Not found”-style errors based on the theme. By default, The Events Calendar is built to return 404 “not found” status headers for pages where there aren’t events – for example, if you jump to the month of May 2016, and there are no events there, it should return a “404 Not Found” status in the page JavaScript, and on the page front-end that the user actually sees, it should say something along the lines of “No events found”.

If this is changing to different text or a different result altogether just by activating the Customizr theme, then unfortunately the best step I can think of to try and troubleshoot that fact is to contact the Customizr theme support directly and explain this issue in detail. They may have a custom 404 template or custom handling of 404s that is interfering here, which they might then have advice on how to disable this feature when on Events Calendar pages.

I hope this information helps – cheers!

    George
