I have created a new page on my website, but it it doesn’t appear to be published as I get this error message ‘page not found’? I can’t see where the issue lies as I’ve followed the correct procedure? The page in question is entitled ‘ brownies and cheesecakes’ on my website, and there is a link towards the middle of the homepage.

Any thoughts?

I get a popup “page not found” instead of a proper 404 error.

Please disable ALL plugins and change your theme to twentysixteen then try the link to http://sweet-plantain.co.uk/shop/browniesandcheesecakes If the problem does not occur, please re-enbable things one at a time until you can find out what triggers the error.

How do I change the theme of my website and won’t this have a major impact on how my site looks and runs?

it will, but it’s temporary while we chase down what’s causing your problem.
