Page links include index.php | WordPress.org

I imported pages from a local installation of WordPress to a live server running WordPress.

The page links all have the index.php file in the URL and I’m not sure why.
For example: http://www.domain.com/index.php/page

Why is this happening?

Hello thinkdolphin,

I’m sorry but I don’t know the answer to your question. However, I found an interesting topic about the same issue from WordPress.org forums — Permalink options now include index.php – how do I avoid that?. Give it a try 🙂

Looks like I may need to contact my host for some redirects.
