Page isn’t loading Javascript properly when form submitted

    I am getting this error when I submit my form: This page isn’t loading JavaScript properly, and the form will not be able to submit. Please check out our troubleshooting guide for details on resolving this issue.

    I unchecked “Enable anti-spam” and it is working just fine now. I don’t know if this truly is the best solution though. What does it really mean when I uncheck this?

    Also, my form worked in my local environment with “enable anti-spam” checked. It’s the same code but once it’s on the live site I have to uncheck it. Any thoughts on this?

    Hi @rrcastillo,

    We’ve seen some cases where there is a caching plugin active on the site that is minifying the Javascript files on the site causing some issues like you are getting.

    If you happen to be using a caching plugin, can you please try to exclude the pages where the forms are present from being cached? Another option would be ti exclude this file from being cached/included in the minification: /wp-content/plugins/wpforms-lite/assets/js/wpforms.js

    In case you are not using a caching plugin, can you please provide us with the link to the page where we can see the form so that we can check it?

    I am using WP Fastest Cache. I just excluded the page but it still is giving me the same error. Here is the link to the page:

    @jadeam WP Fastest Cache was added before I came on board. It actually doesn’t look like it was ever enabled. So I don’t think this plugin is the issue after all which is probably why I am still getting the error after excluding the page. Any other suggestions?

    Hi @rrcastillo,

    I tried sending a test entry to your form and it seems to be working without any issues as what you can see in my screencast here but you might have disabled the anti-SPAM option on this form.

    When you get the chance, can you please try to create a new where we can access the form with the anti-SPAM option enabled so that we can try to see if there’s anything we can suggest based on the error?

    @jadeam Yes, I disabled it because I didn’t want it to not be working for too long. It is enabled now. I can only leave it enabled for today as this page will be marketed tomorrow.

    My apologies for the wait.

    In case you want us to check the issue more, is it possible that you can create a test page and add a form where the anti-spam option is enabled?

    That way, we’ll be able to see and check if there is an error that can give us a hint and provide further suggestions.
