Thank you, but “Archives 2018” is still there. There is a block that keeps the information I want from the center. Is this some new because it was this way before?
The output comes from a widget that your theme has placed there. You should be able to edit this in the WordPress backend under Appearance > Widgets.
Note: your theme “Tesseract” has not been available in the WordPress repository for several years. I would recommend changing it as it is outdated and could potentially cause malfunctions.
Hi threadi, I have really messed up my site. But how do I get rid of Tesseract. I believe I first used when started the website but I must have deleted later. Thank you Gary
Find a new theme that suits you here: https://wordpress.org/themes/ – you can then install and activate it in your backend under Appearance.
Please note, however, that you may have to re-enter all your content. Depending on which theme you choose, more or less adjustments may be necessary.
I would also strongly advise you to create a backup beforehand or to test the new theme on a copy of the project. You can do this with WP Staging, for example, or locally on your computer with localwp or (more complex) XAMPP.
If you need personal assistance with this, you can find it here: https://jobs.wordpress.net/
Is there not a method to just back out of my mistake in activating Tesseract. My site was working so well before I messed it up. I still can’t figure out why just one page had that login plugin it it.
If you had a different theme before, reactivate it under Appearance. Unfortunately, I don’t know the history of your project, so I can’t give you any more specific information.
