please give me your url to check the issue.
We have the same problem.
When the setting of a download are:
Status: Published as private
Zichtbaarheid: Private
When
Status: Published
Zichtbaarheid: Openbaar
then there is no problem.
But we want that some files are only logged in people.
It always worked. But not anymore and you get the warning “Package is not available!”.
I hope you have a solutions !!
Greetings
Got the issue, fix is coming with the next update
hi there,
I have the same problem here and it’s important that the logged in user can access these files and not get the “Package is not available!” page.
When do you you think you could be able to get the fixed update available?
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Kind regards,
Our site is also experiencing the error.
Is there an ETA available on the fix?
Thanks in advance,
Kevin
Today’s update did not resolve this error condition for my site. I was unclear if it was supposed to though based on the changelog.
Thanks,
Kevin
Here the same. The update do not resolve the problem about “Package is not available”.
Greetings.
ERROR STILL UNRESOLVED.
WordPress v4.4.2
Download Manager v2.8.92
Settings on the file to download:
Status: Published
Visibility: Public
Also running “Page Security & Membership” v1.5.15 plugin
Unchecked “Protect this page and its descendants” to remove add’l security
STILL receive the error: “Package not available”
NOT resolved. Please acknowledge
Shaon,
Are you still planning a fix for the “Package is not available!” error?
If not I will need to migrate to a new solution.
Please advise.
More detail on how to reproduce the error:
Use a short code to create a download link for a single file like this:
[wpdm_package id="221"]
I have tried protecting and un-protecting (requiring authenticated users and allowing unauthenticated users) the file.
When a user clicks on the file icon to download, the screen clears and the message, “Package not available” is displayed.
It actually may happen if any of you active plugin generates unexpected output on load. However, we already added some condition with wpdm to avoid such issue and update is coming soon.
This issue is quiet critical, when do you think you will release the fix?
I’m willing to give you access to the admin or run some tests if it can help you out.
Many thanks in advance,
I’m experiencing this problem too. I came up with a terrible workaround – I’m just linking directly to the files. Any idea when this can be fixed?
By the way, I’m running WP 4.5.
I stopped using this plugin and have implemented a different solution.
I have deactivated the plugin but I need to know if all of the uploaded files will be deleted if I delete the plugin.
