Own directory, cant login

I have chosen to move my simple WordPress site to a subfolder so I can mix html and WordPress content.

I did this last night, following the instructions here

and moved all the content as instructed into a folder called “wpress” (my quotes),
except 2 files (as instructed), which were only copied to the new folder.

I can get to login screen through this link:

I know the email for the Username, but after using a password reset the login screen bounces and I am denied entry.

How far away from a disaster is this?
