Support » Plugin: Enlighter - Customizable Syntax Highlighter » Override theme code style

Actually I can use Enlighter without problems using the enlighter buttons in the wordpress visual editor.

But I would like to replace the normal code style with the enlighter style so I can use hotkeys with the keyboard (shift + alt + x) and get an inline enlighter block.

    Is it possible?

    Hi @dahnark,

it’s maybe possible by disabling some of the WordPress editor addons (formatting shortcuts) and create a custom plugin which handles the keyboard-shortcut

In a GitHub issue it is resolved:

    Options > Advanced Options:

Change Inline CSS Selector to code

    This works for me.

it is not a “real” solution because it didn’t enable any editor settings within TinyMCE… the inline code is just “highlighted” with the default languages defined within Enlighter settings.

btw. after some investigation i’ve located the shortcut: src/js/_enqueues/vendor/tinymce/plugins/wordpress/plugin.js

    maybe i can override it

i’ve added your feature request to EnlighterJS.TinyMCE plugin **v3.5.0** – it will be included in the next Enlighter release.

you can try it out on the demo page: https://tinymce.enlighterjs.org/

    available as pre-release on GitHub

To enable the keyboard shortcut, goto Enlighter -> VisualEditor -> Tweaks -> Enable Keyboard Shortcut
