original theme and layout gone

    Hello

    complete novice there working on companies website. I was testing an alternative theme and must have published by mistake and now original theme is gone. When I change back to original them, the layout and info is gone.

    Pages are still available to view from side bar but am afraid to do anything else unless I make this situation any worse than it is !

    any help would be much appreciated

    The easiest way would be to use a backup. That way, you can restore the site to the state it was in before you changed the theme.

    Otherwise, it really depends on the specific theme. Most themes should store their data separately if they follow WordPress standards. If that didn’t happen, only the theme developer can tell you what went wrong. So if you don’t have a backup, it’s best to contact their support team.
