WooCommerce Orders Always Fail

    Hi Team,

    I recently set up and launched an eCommerce website selling beef jerkey, but so far all the orders that we have received have consistently failed.

    They always get the same error message in the order notes that says:

    Array
    (
    [0] => stdClass Object
    (
    [category] => AUTHENTICATION_ERROR
    [code] => UNAUTHORIZED
    [detail] => This request could not be authorized.
    )

    )
    Order status changed from Pending payment to Failed.

    I can send you screenshots of the problem, though I don't know how to do that through this forum.

    How do I fix this problem?

    I'm not sure if it's related, but the shipping calculator also is inconsistent. I have posted another topic in this forum earlier about the shipping calculator issue.

    Hi @kwallindesigns,

    [category] => AUTHENTICATION_ERROR
[code] => UNAUTHORIZED
[detail] => This request could not be authorized.

    The error message which you've referenced above seems to indicate that service on your site possibly your payment gateway which you're using cannot authenticate any payments.

    I've seen this error message with Square before and also found this support forum thread for you with regards to this which should help if you're indeed using Square for payments.

    Hi Stuart!

    Thanks for replying to my post!

    I also posted this on the WooCommerce forum and they helped me figure it out! It turned out that the business address that we’d registered with square was not the same as the one set up with our square plugin in WP. I made them the same, re-entered my square credentials – and orders started going through again! 🙂
