  • Hi Flying,

You can change the order of the custom fields by dragging and dropping them in the “Custom Fields” tab. Whichever order you create here is the order in which they will display in the sidebar of your catalog.

I have done that but the changes do not reflect in either the catalogue view or the the product view. Also when I navigate back to the “Custom Fields” tab the order has been reset.

    Hi Flying,

Could you please let us know which version of the plugin you are using? This feature should be working in the latest version.

    Version 3.6.14

The dragging works, it just clearly doesn’t save.

The latest version of the plugin is 3.6.16. Could you please update to this version and then try once more to order the custom fields using the drag and drop? It should work after the update.

    Update completed. Same results.

    Hi Flying,

We just released another update that should fix the issue in all places. Could you please install the latest update and let us know if it is now resolved?

Thank you that worked. One more question, how can I get the Category to print on the catalogue page?

You’re welcome! By print, do you mean display the category title above a certain section of products in the catalog? To do this, you could add categories to your catalog instead of individual products.

If you mean something else, could you provide a bit more detail about what you would like to do?

I just want the category name to display along with my other fields when viewing all the products in the catalogue just like it does on the individual product pages.

There is currently no option to display the category for each product in the thumbnail, list or detail view. However, you could create a custom field called “Category” (or anything else) and choose for that to display in the thumbnail, list and detail views.

I guess my issue is slightly different. I have many custom fields, which will drag (and the order doesn’t save on admin side) however they do show the order of movement on the front-end… sort of.

If I move a custom field to the top of page two, then it shows as the ‘second’ field overall on the front-end. Still not saving order on admin side.

It would also be nice to be able to alter the display order with the built-in fields and custom fields together.

    Hi Chaotic,

I was able to replicate the issue you are having. If I rearrange the order of custom fields, they do indeed change on the front end, but, if I go to another part of my admin and then come back to the custom fields, the order isn’t saved. We’ll have to look into this and put out an update when we fix it.

And thank you for the feature suggestion.
