Optin-Cat Form not displaying

    Hello,

    I installed the plug-in with no problem a few months ago. I use it on a page, but wanted to add it to another page as well. It still displays perfectly on the original page, but when I try to add it to the other page, only the code shows.

    I’ve tried copy and pasting, adding through the Optin-Cat button, and copying it from the original page and nothing has working. Any idea on how I can fix this?

    Hello there,

    Lets see if we can help. I have a few questions for you first:

    What kind of form are you working with? Postbox, popup or widget?

    Are these 2 different pages on the same website, or different sites?

    What are you copying and pasting to move the form, is it the shortcode? Could you please provide an example so I can determine the issue.

    – post box

    – 2 different pages on the same site (www.hatchandfly.com)

    – the shortcode that is provided when you create your form (which also auto populates when you click the Optin Cat form in your text block)

    It worked flawlessly before, so I’m just wondering what could have happened. I just updated to the new WordPress version, so could that be a factor?

    Hello again,

    Sorry for the slow response, it’s been a busy week.

    The update shouldn’t have caused this, but it’s possible it knocked some settings out of place. First try going to edit your form and save it, just to be sure.

    I also realized, are you using the HTML option on your editor when adding the shortcode? You need to be for it to work, so be sure you are not adding the shortcode to the visual side.

    If that’s not the problem…Please let me know. It seems very strange that it works on one page and not the other. Do you have any plugins running on this second page, that aren’t on the first?

    We could be seeing a conflict from another plugin. Or maybe even a theme setting, anything that is specific to the page giving us issues could be a culprit. So please include anything you can think of.

    Also please try creating a new page, and see if your results vary. That will tell us if just this page is having an issue.

    If the issue persists, get back to me with these details, and also provide me a URL to both these pages. We’ll see what else we can do.
