opening install.php does nothing

    need some help.

    after uploading all the wordpress files in the designated folder on my hosting i try to install wordpress by opening install.php in the browser (with the full address) but nothing happens. there’s no error message, just a blank page.

    where could the problem be?

    forgot to mention that the hosting provider crated the database and provided all the information (hostname, username, pass) for the database.

    ok, due to the overwhelming amount of support and advice, decided to upload the entire content of wordpress again and the installation worked this time.
