openid plugin does not actually login

    recently installed the openid plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/openid/)
    but unfortunately it doesn’t appear to allow logins…

    The password gate has been altered by the plugin to show the openid sign in option OK
    However when I try to sign in using my google profile address, google initially asked me to allow access then returned me to the login page, not logged in.
    Subsequent attempts just end with the browser loading the login page again, albeit with an altered URL

    /wp-login.php?finish_openid=1&identity_url=http://www.google.com/profiles/my.id&redirect_to=http://microecm-project.eu/wp-admin/&_wpnonce=4dc40a819a

    and thats it, no loging in… any help mucho appreciated 🙂
