I’m having trouble reproducing the issue. I’ve added a new accordion that matches your settings (openfirst=true and clicktoclose=true) to a clean install of the twenty fourteen theme which I looks like your site is based on. It all works as expected for me.
Were you using the plugin prior to the 2.1 update that came out yesterday? Did it work for you then?
I downloaded the plugin today for the first time. I run a different site using a different theme and I get the same results (no css styling applied in this case).

Hmmm. I’ve tried making a few tweaks to the JavaScript code. If you’re technailly savvy, would you mind testing this development version of the plugin?
Still behaves the same. The only change now is that the class now is “accordion-title” and am able to get the panel to expand on the first click.
I played with the settings a bit and found that if I set the HTML Tag for Title to “div”, the first panel would not open once I changed it the plugin functioned as expected.
That is very helpful! I think I may know what the problem is. I’ll play around a bit and let you know what I come up with. Thanks.
Can you please give this dev version a try? I think it should solve the problem. Thanks for all your help.
Just tried the new version and it worked! Thanks again for your help!
Happy Holidays!
Just updated. Nothing will open now!??
Using this shortcode, nothing has changed..
‘[accordion autoclose=”true” openfirst=”true” openall=”false” clicktoclose=”true” accordion scroll=”true”]’
Please help.
Thank you,
Brent
Sorry, I meant to create a new post.
Hi willisgigi,
I’ve pushed a new version of the plugin with the fix for your issue as well as another small bug. If you don’t see the update automatically, you may need to reinstall v2.1.1 from the WordPress plugin repo. Or, if everything is working fine for you, just ignore this update. The next one should pop-up automatically.
