Open registration not working

    Every time I try to change open registration to “Yes (allow open registration)” and save it, it doesn’t work. The setting ALWAYS goes back to “No (do not allow open registration”.

    WHY!

    And for some reason, I don’t even have a registration page. I can’t test anything. I get a 404 error if I am not logged and a blank page when I am logged in.

    1. Are you actually saving the setting (at the bottom of the page)?

    2. If so, have you tested for a theme or plugin conflict?

    1. Yes.
    2. Ah, the old turn off all the plugins and see if there is a conflict. Sure, why not. But I am not holding my breath.
