Do you have a link to download the theme you are using, please.
Michael,
Do you mean the link where I got the theme?
I got it here
Stacy
I’d say do an upgrade to 2.2.1, download a clean version of that theme and use that. Then try to make the change again.
See:
Upgrading WordPress.
If that isn’t something you want to do, then post your sidebar.php file at http://wordpress.pastebin.ca/ and report the link back here.
I did install that theme on a 2.2.1 test blog and it seems to work okay.
Thanks Michael for all the help you’re giving me! I really appreciate it.
I’m a little nervous about doing the upgrade, even though I know I have to do it eventually. So I posted my sidebar file. The link is:
here
While you’re helping me I hope you don’t mind if I ask you a silly question! When you’re editing files, does the spacing matter? The spacing always looks so odd to me and I’m not sure why or if it really matters.
Thanks so much!
Stacy
I used your sidebar.php code and still have no problem.
Other things:
1. I don’t see the two yahoo items in the meta section.
2. I get a footer at the bottom of my main page and you don’t. You also don’t get a footer displayed on the June 2007 Archive page or the Miscellaneous Category page, but you see the footer on the other Archives and Category pages.
So is there something weird with that post “Improved blogging for next year!”?, or is there a plugin causing the problem, or something wrong in your database.
Maybe mark that Improved blogging post as a Draft to see if that is the problem. If not, deactivate plugins. Then finally might use phpMyAdmin to check/rebuild your wp_posts and wp_posts2cat tables.
Please make sure you have a current backup of you database.
You’re brilliant! It was something to do with that post. I deleted it and all went back to normal. I then rewrote it and republished it (this time uploading the picture insted of just copy and pasting it in) and it all worked out fine.
Thank you so much for your help! I think I have a crush on you now. 🙂
Okay before you get all ‘crushy’ do that backup and upgrade 😉
