  • @jakob1975, that’s because your site doesn’t load ngg-image thumbnails but display the attach_to_post/preview.
What happens with a WordPress default theme activated and all other plugins deactivated? This is a necessary step to investigate any conflict.

    Hi

    Thanks for your answer

I have tried to disable all my plugins and it did not make any change.
But I have I have made a clean installation on another website but with the same theme and it works! see here – http://naturtekniksiden.dk/sample-page/

Do you have any idea why it works on a clean installation and it do not work on my other website??

    Hope you have an idea:-)

@jakob1975 I don’t think your two installations are perfectly identical. Probably in your production site you haven’t tested in the right way, e.g. in the page that works I don’t see the SEO plugin activated as in the other, and in the page that doesn’t work also social icons and menu and title icons doesn’t work, so it seems that some stylesheets and js scripts aren’t loaded.
You have to deactivate all of your other plugins at once, clear browser cache completely, update the page. Also, I see that you have a cache plugin, so before this operation you have to empty all your site caches via that plugin.
With any plugins activated but NextGEN, caches emptied (site and browser), update the page and it should works. If not, deactivate your current theme too and activate one of WordPress default theme, and in this basic situation it should works.
After this test you’ll know for sure if something is in conflict, or if you have to investigate at another level.

I’m having this same problem at http://artifactually.net under the paintings link.

I’ve put it in the default theme and I’ve deactivated all plugins but the NextGen gallery one.

Any help will be appreciated. I’m just trying to put in a gallery that will give me a good lightbox without much trouble. On my full site (denisephilipbar.com), all of my images are already loaded so want a gallery that I can just import them into or will take advantage of them already being uploaded.

I’m using the artifactually.net address as an incubator for my main site and trying to find a good gallery plug in to show my art in the best way. So far, I’ve been frustrated by either clunky interfaces, being forced in re-uploading all the images, or getting them to work.

    Thanks,
    Denise

PS, I’d rather be making art but can’t afford to hire someone. So, be nice 🙂

PSS, Maybe you need this too?

@denisephilipbar, the issues are similar but they could not have the same cause, so everyone gets the most appropriate attention in their own topic.
To both I may further suggest to try another lightbox effect among those available, but please @denisephilipbar open your own topic, as per the forum rules.

@jakob1975 – Something in your site is changing the expected placeholder <img> tag which is most likely causing this issue.

Although I cannot say what it specifically may be, it may be sorted out by a patch we have just created. Please send a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with your site specifics so we can get the file out to you.

    @tizz – Thanks!

@denisephilipbar – Please follow @tizz’s suggestion, although if you want to send a Bug Report for the patch file you are welcome.

Hi Cais – I have send a bug report – do you have an idea why my site change the expected placeholder the code that nextgen put in my site is – <img class=”ngg_displayed_gallery mceItem” src=”http://naturteknologi.dk/nextgen-attach_to_post/preview/id–284&#8243; alt=”” />

@tizz – thanks a lot for your help, I tried to deactivate all my plugins and emptied (site and browser) caches but it did not change anything. I tried to install a lightbox effect on one of my sites and it worked – http://www.naturteknologi.dk/kontakt/ As you can see, I also tried to install Nextgen slideshow in the sidebar and it also worked.

I hope you still have an idea on what I should do.

    (@photocrati)

@jakob1975 – What specifically, no. We generate a XHTML compliant <img> tag and we currently read for that specific tag. Some plugins and/or themes are changing that tag to a HTML compliant format (we do not know which ones specifically just that those are the only options we can think of).

We have adjusted our code to read the tag differently so this will not be an issue with releases 2.0.67 and greater.

    – Cais.
