Sorry – I have no idea, what is going on there.
If the shortcode is displayed and not executed, then the theme does something strange with the filter queue of WordPress. But this has nothing to do with the Timed Content plugin, because WordPress itself is responsible to execute the shortcodes.
Would it be helpful for you to see the the problem ?
It is a draft, but I could maybe publish it for some time…
No, sorry, I wouldn’t see more as you already know.
Just one idea: is the frontpage a regular WordPress page or just static HTML? Because if it is just static HTML, shortcodes wouldn’t be usable at all – not only Timed Content, but all other shortcodes as well.
it is a static html
is there no way around or trick?
No, because static HTML will just be send as it is, without executing any shortcodes.
You would need a WordPress page as the frontpage. Usually this is done in the backend by Settings -> Reading -> “Your homepage displays” -> A static page. In such a page all shortcodes including Timed Content should work. If not, try another theme, just to check, if it is a problem of the theme.
