    Hi,

I’m using your plugin for a site of one of our clients and I’m running into a problem.
They want to aprove new users, and we don’t want to give them full administrator rights to the dashboard eg. plugins & theme etc.
But only administator roles have access to user list, we changed that with the role capabilities. To give the second highest role user list capability & promote capability.
A test user with this role can’t promote/demote a Administator as this is a higher role.
I would expect the same restrictions to the approve and revoke, but the test user could revoke access for the administator. locking the administator out of the website.

Is there something that we can do, to limit this capability to the non admin user?

Let me see if I understand what you are asking. You want to allow an approved user to be able to approve or deny new users but you don’t want them to have admin access?

They will have access to the list of users in the admin panel/wp dashboard. But I don’t want them to be able to change the state of approved to denied on a Administator.

Like a admin can change the rights of a editor, but even if the editor has the same rights in managing users it should never be allowed to change the rights or anything related to the admin account.

But now, the editor can change the state of the admin account.

I will test this and get a fix in place.

I second for this feature. It is common on membership sites when you retain system administration and your customer wants to manage his users. Would be really nice to have role-based capability for can_approve_users can_deny_users .

That’s a good idea. I’ll see what I can do.

Another thing this plug-in could do is just a group of roles (that we select) need to be approved. That would be a great feature!

Any idea when this is going to be available?
