Hi andrea14cha 🙂 !
I’ve just got this problem (a few minutes ago) and found a plugin on GitHub that do exactly that work ;).
You’ll can get it here : https://github.com/grappler/polylang-slug
I hope that the Polylang authors will implement this feature quickly because it’s really practical (portfolio, contat, etc.).
Amicably,
Pierre.
Hey Pierre_02!
Thank you for your help! I will try this plugin! Is it working for you?
Amicably,
Andrea
Hi
Polylang Pro has a feature that will let you sync the content across two languages. This post explains the feature https://polylang.pro/polylang-2-1/
Otherwise you can copy the content manually across the translations.
If all of your portfolios have the same content across languages then you could disable the translation for portfolios.
@pierre_02 The feature for same slugs in part of the pro version of the plugin.
Hi Pierre,
does this plugin work for WooCommerce Categories and posts (Products)
as well ? Or only for pages ?
What does your polylang url settings look like ? Set language by content
or by url ?
thanks
Hi all :)!
Sorry, I haven’t been enough clear in my explanation… This plugin permit to keep the same slug across the different languages used on your website.
En example will be: I have a “Contact” page on my website and I want to keep the same slug across all the language. /fr/contact, /en/contact, /de/contact
If I haven’t used the plugin that would have been /fr/contact, /en/contact-2, /de/contact-3…
jayhall, I’m sorry I don’t know at all if it works with Woocommerce. You should try it on a development website before pushing it to the prod ;).
Amicably,
Pierre.
