One full width widget in footer

Dear Tomas,

I would like to have a single widget in the footer that spans across the full width. I’ve added one text widget to the left footer, but each of the three footers (left, middle, right) is 33 % wide. I tried to set #footer-widget-left to 100% width but to no avail.

How can I achieve this?
