Older Posts Will Not Show

I am using this plugin. The “next_text” hyperlink shows, and I have older posts that should show when this link is clicked. However, the older posts never come up. It just keeps redisplaying the original page, albeit with a modified URL (/page/2/). Others have reported this issue as well. So for all intents and purposes the “show older posts” or “next_text” function is NOT working and leaves this plugin unusable for web sites (web sites with non-working hyperlinks are not suitable for production). Please help.
