Old posts notification by tag

    Hi,

    I have a site that shows events (posts) that happen in the same day years before.
    every morning, at 5:00 AM a cron job change a tag ‘today’ to the relevant posts.
    the posts creation date not change.
    the updates posts appear correctly on home page.
    I set an email – “post notification” with selector ‘tag:today’ every morning at 7:00 AM.
    My problem is that nothing is sent.
    system – no error
    manually test – working fine

    Hi @pega0564, thanks for contacting us.

    The problem here is that the posts are being updated, not published as new posts.

    Updating a post doesn’t trigger the Post Notification. If you want to re-send an already published post using the Post Notification email, you’ll need to publish it as a new post.
