    Hi,

    Sorry I can’t see or replicate that behaviour. And I’d have to examine your instance of WordPress (theme and plugins) to see what’s causing the conflict.

    Obviously that’s beyond the support I’m willing to offer. But if it helps, og:description is supposed to be pulling in the content from the excerpt field, but either your theme or another plug-in is getting in the way.

    Try the usual stuff – disabling plugins – and switching to a default theme – and see if you can narrow down the cause.

    Yes, I should have done that first.

    It’s definitely the Instagram plugin. Look what happens when I deactivate it:

    So with the Instagram plug-in disabled, the description is showing short-tags. I’d move on to the Facebook debugger now, and make sure you’ve got something in the excerpt field first.
