Offset problem

hi im doing a template on a home of one project and i got this issue

:: first problem
in showing 3 posts on slideshow and need to show the other post besides those 3 on wptiles…

if i put the_wp_tiles(offset=3) when i click on load new posts shows the same old ones…

:: second problem but not important

one thing i was thinking about too… between the posts of the tiles my client need also some ads to be shown , not posts, is it possible to do this?
