Offset for posts

Hello,

I am using the image slider for the latest 6 posts. The older ones should be shown as a “blog” on my first page. How can I create an offset as it is possible when inserting a News Widget?

Example:
[news_widget number=”3″ columns=”3″ offset=”6″ show_date=”0″ show_excerpt=”0″]

“Insert News Widget” is not a good option for me. It makes the picture difficult to handle.
