Hey Hugh, Just wondering if you might have a chance to look into this? I can replicate it on any website I try to embed the episode on.

    Hi Scott,

For some I don’t get email notifications when you post on here. It works for literally everyone else, but not for you and I have no idea why. Weird :/

Anyway – I haven’t encountered this as an issue, but I’ll look into it and do some testing to see what could be happening!

    Cheers,
    Hugh

    Hey Hugh,

We narrowed the issue down to the following error:

content.js:1 Uncaught SecurityError: Failed to read the 'cookie' property from 'Document': The document is sandboxed and lacks the 'allow-same-origin' flag.

But confirmed we have no caching on the oembed to break the cookie.

After digging further, it turns out it’s a bug between WordPress and some themes. We’re using Genesis. Here are two threads:

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/media-player-set-to-visibility-hidden
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/audio-player-has-visibility-hidden

We are going to see if we can write a small patch, but in the meantime I wanted to share that with you just in case you wanted to dig in too.

Update. Looks like it’s not a theme issue. We tested it with 2015 and the same issue happened. So it looks like it’s a general WordPress bug.

    I have the same issue.
It actually worked when I did setup the page, but the next day the player was gone.

Video players or the default media player from WP works fine. This must be an issue with the embed.

    Are there any news?

We just ran into this issue as well. Obviously just overriding the CSS is not a good option. Any updates?

    Hi there,

I have been largely offline for the last few months and have been unable to help out all of this plugin’s awesome users in this forum. I’m sorry if this has inconvenienced you!

As a result there are a large number of questions here that I just don’t have the time to answer effectively. There’s also a very good chance that the majority of them are no longer valid as it has been quite a while since they were posted.

With that in mind, I’m going to close all of them (including this one), so if you still require support then please create a brand new topic and I will respond on there going forward, as I have time to do so.

    Thanks for your understanding!

    Cheers,
    Hugh
