This may have nothing to do with the current theme update.

In trying to untangle everything after attempting to update to 2.2, I uncovered a mixed content link that is a bit strange, which is included in one of the Simone theme’s files and multiple of my child theme’s files.

I was going to send a list of the files but I started to feel queasy about airing all that to the world. So I will just tell you where this odd link appears in the Simone theme — in header.php, in the head section: http://gmpg.org/xfn/11

    Hi
These links are safe, the browser does not download any assets from it, so there is no actual mixed content. If an audit tool has flagged them, they are what you call “false positives”.

It also safe to remove them if you are not using the classic link manager (yes the theme is that old).

i went ahead and deleted it. I also think this link is a harmless artifact from something that had been relevant years ago. I only came across it because I was deep in the code of the site trying to correct the font / mobile menu problems that I encountered after updating to 2.2.
