Numbers in quotes

Excellent plugin, one thing I can’t wrap my head around.

I have a few custom fields in a custom content type displaying numbers. They are wrapped in quotation marks in the json and it causes issues when it comes to them being sortable. Is there a way of getting rid of those quotation marks (works fine when they are manually removed in a test file).

I guess it is possible to do a string replace front end, but it seems to be a bit of a hack.
