    The largest sites at the moment are ( live ): http://www.imagefactory.it/ with over 125.000 photos and 520 albums, and ( still under construction ): http://hi-living.de/2013livingmetro/nightlife/ with over 350.000 photos and over 2850 albums, so this should not be a problem.

    Does the plug-in work on password protected pages?

    Never tested it, but it should not be a problem.

    Note: You can not password protect the thumbnails and screen resolution photos on the server on an album basis using a .passwd file, but ( if you keep them on the site ) the original un-watermarked, un-downsized ‘source’ files you can passwd protect.
