Nt getting a reset password e-mail

    I just bought a new computer and when I tried to login to my blog with what I thought was my password, I got the message of wrong password. I entered my e-mail to receive the usual reset pasword e-mail but I have not got it yet. Do I have to wait a long time?

    You shouldn’t have to wait that long. You can try checking your spam folder. There’s also an alternative way to change your password that I mention in this topic.

    Thank you nowrocki, but I have no idea of phpAdmin files and WP recommends not to touch them in that case. Sholuld I wait longer or try something else?

    Where are you reading that WP doesn’t recommend to touch phpMyAdmin?

    If you have access to your cPanel, the phpAdmin method is a relatively easy method to change your password. Log in to your cPanel and you’ll see phpMyAdmin under the Databases section. Then use the instructions/pictures to change your password.

    Sounds daft but have you setup your email on your new computer.
