It looks like the theme is missing the header.php file — make sure all the theme’s files have been uploaded.
i’m positive i’ve uploaded all the themes files…

Don’t use now-reading, update now-reading or find a fix for it. Which now-reading plugin are you using?
you know “don’t use now-reading” is not a logical way to offer help. I did however upgrade to 4.2.2 (from 4.2) and the problem remains the same.
Finding a fix for it is exactly the reason why I am posting here.
Just try taking:
<div id=”content” class=”now-reading primary narrowcolumn”>
out of the library.php and see what that does (you can always put it straight back.) I had some issues with now-reading and getting it to work with my site, and I eventually managed to get my header and footer in there, although it still doesn’t look overly pretty.

Have you tried the author’s website (you didn’t mention, and it’s always the first thing you should check)? Checked the instructions at http://robm.me.uk/projects/plugins/wordpress/now-reading/documentation/ ? Pay particular attention to the templates/theme issues.
Maerk’s observation is spot-on: You are missing header information in that page. It is not because of WP, or your Connections theme.
mpgeorge, i fixed the problem my modifying the main_index.php template on the current theme that I am using and replaced that with the library.php file. It now works just fine.

if you are so particular about details i think i deserve a compliment considering i did mark this post as resolved before I needed your “help” in pointing it help.
but you are right, i am new here, like yourself. and i am positive there have been hundreds before me who “forgot” to change their topic status.
stay focused man, i was here to ask for help, didn’t need your pointless suggestions such as don’t use a particular plug-in if it is giving troubles. and now you bother to point out a previous i forgot to mark resolved?!
