Notification to the reader

    I’m just looking for a simple function where I can send a notification to the reader who commented on a post that I replied to the comment. Does that work with this plugin and what exactly do I need to set then?

    Hi @meike297

    This plugin allows those who post a comment to subscribe to be notified when when anyone replies to their comment. They can also subscribe to all comments (not just replies to their own comments).

    There’s no option at the moment to only send the notifications if an administrator replies. We do have that on the to do list but I can’t say for sure when it will be implemented.

    Hello! Okay interesting. Just a query again, if I understood it correctly: users can be notified when other users reply to the comment, but there is no option for them to be notified only when only the admin replies?

    Correct, if the comment author choses to be notified on replies then the notifications will be sent for all replies that comment receives .

    At the moment there is no option to limit the notifications only for admin replies.

    But if you have some experience with modifying PHP code I could give you some pointers on what needs to be changed to make it work that way.
