• I have a website that has 2 domains. Both domains are with the registrar but one is hosted with Bluehost and the other is just redirected to the one that is hosted. The one that is actually hosted does not have any email set up. The one that is redirected has all the email and that is hosted elsewhere.

The issue is that the domain that is actually hosted is not sending out emails to the admin for notifications. Nothing. Even when I try to change the admin to something else, it says to accept the notification email but it never gets to the person. Do I need to setup an email for this to send from? Or how can I make this work?

So, the hosted one is not sending emails and the redirecting is?

Check WordPress settings, and also the mail settings on your hosting account to see if they are correct.

No, nothing is sending out email notifications. I just wanted to list that there are 2 domains even though they are independent of each other. Domain A is hosted but no email is set up. Domain B is not hosted, only redirected to domain A, but email is set up and hosted elsewhere. So domain B has dns pointed to bluehost but mx records pointed elsewhere. I’m not sure if domain B is causing any of this. Or if its because no email is set up on domain A. What should the mail settings be on my hosting account? And where should I check email settings? Also, the email that I have set up to receive admin notifications is a gmail email. So its not even part of domain A or B.

May be your hosting is restricting the notification feature. According to this article:

    http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-send-email-in-wordpress-using-the-gmail-smtp-server/

You have to do some task to send notifications with Gmail.
