Notification after student registration error

Hello, I’m having an issue with the notification that pops after a student registers. The issue is that after the student registers, they are supposed to get a notification at the top of the form notifying the student “kindly check you email to verify your account” but in my case it shows nothing, so even the student won’t know the are supposed to check their email to complete the registration process. The funny thing is that the emails are actually being sent. I have disabled my cache plugin since I read somewhere that it can affect the notifications. The other thing that I have noticed is that other notifications are popping like if you try to use an already existing username you will get a notification on top of the form “This username exists”.
