• Hi I am having trouble with my wordpress site. I have these error messages below.

Notice: Undefined index: cforms_smtp in /home/content/87/11912787/html/wp-content/plugins/cforms146/lib_aux.php on line 12

Notice: Undefined variable: smtpsettings in /home/content/87/11912787/html/wp-content/plugins/cforms146/lib_aux.php on line 15

Notice: Undefined index: cforms_showdashboard in /home/content/87/11912787/html/wp-content/plugins/cforms146/cforms.php on line 1686

I can not log in whatsoever and have no idea what I need to do. This is the first time I have had errors like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Will also add that if anyone is willing to spend a bit of time with me to help get sorted I will happily pay for your time.

Can you access your server control panel (or even FTP into your server)? If so, locate the wp-content/plugins directory and rename the “cforms146” plugin folder inside it to “cforms146-disabled”. This will disable the plugin which is causing the error. This should allow you to be able to get back into your WordPress site. Then I’d contact the plugin developer of the cforms146 plugin and tell them you’re running into issues. If you can provide them with some details about your server setup and which themes and plugins you’re running, that will help them recreate the bug and hopefully come up with a solution.

Unfortunately not. There is no way of me logging in, not even through the control panel. Members also reporting that they can not log in.

I mean your server’s control panel – not WordPress’s admin section but the actual server where you host your WordPress site. If you’re not sure, contact your host for server support. Basically you need to get on the server’s filesystem and remove/disable the plugin causing your WordPress site being inaccessible.

So that would be Go Daddy I take it?

Well I don’t know who your host is, but yes, whatever company you pay to make space available on a server for you to have a website – contact them and see if you can get filesystem access to your server space so you can remove or disable the plugin that I think is causing the issue. And when I say filesystem access I mean either a control panel that lets you see what’s on your server or FTP access – some way to see and manipulate what’s on the actual server space you’re paying for! Hope that makes sense.

Yeah makes sense. They werent really that helpful though. I am still not sure how I access the ftp server. They were going to do it for me however I needed to updgrade my hosting. Did that and they told me I need to migrate my site first before they can do it for me if that makes sense. Now I need to do this however it is asking me for the ftp credentials which I dont know?

Migrate your site? I mean if you’re hosted with them, all they need to do is tell you how to access the server control panel or to provide you with SFTP/FTP access? And for FTP, they would need to provide you with the login name and password to login via SFTP/FTP.

Right I have managed to sort it no thanks to them. Found the folders and did what you advised and now all working.

    Thanks

Great! I empathize with your trying to get support from your hosting company – I wish I could wave a magic wand and make all hosting companies provide awesome, friendly support!

Okay after I fixed the issue I was able to log back in however now I am finding that I can not log out at all. Have I disabled something? Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks
