[Resolved] notice error in Display Settings

    Hello,

I’m trying the Game Schedule plugin on a multisite WP 3.7.1 with the Sporty theme.
I got errors, eg, in the Display Settings after changing the date and time format:
“Notice: Undefined index: gs_hide_media in /home/xxx/domains/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/game-schedules/includes/mstw-game-schedules-admin.php on line 905”

I still didn’t enter any game, so I’d like to know if the notice above is something to really worry about or not. I have debug on.

    Hi webby1973-
I believe that notice is because you have debug on. I only use update for post meta data, I don’t check for the need to add on the creation of a data element. The debug notices will go away after the games are created.

    Hello Mark,

I also see that kind of notices inside the field “Countdown Intro Text:” (which I don’t understand what’s about) of the widget Countdown Times:

    <b>Notice</b>: Undefined variable: cd_intro_text in <b>/home/xxx/domains/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/game-schedules/mstw-game-schedule.php</b> on line <b>995</b>

    What is that notice about?

    Hi webby1973,
Notices are notices, not errors, not even warnings. PHP developers, including me, often take coding ‘shortcuts’ (primarily to simplify code) knowing that PHP has no problem resolving them. Other less-forgiving languages might fail and ‘not compile’. Please turn off debug and if any problems ensue. I’d be happy to fix any real problems.
