Hi @freddyboy377,
Thanks for reaching out! The error you’re encountering typically indicates that your app is set to Testing mode. To resolve it, you’ll have to publish your app as shown in the Google mailer setup guide.
In case you haven’t done this already, within your Google Console (https://console.cloud.google.com/apis) project, please head over to the OAuth Consent screen section and then click Make External to publish your app.
You can follow the steps in our guide here as well: https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-gmail-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/#from-testing-to-production
Back in your WordPress admin area, you’ll need to connect to your Google account again by heading over to WP Mail SMTP > Settings and clicking on the button labeled Allow plugin to send emails using your Google account (https://a.supportally.com/FCADBa).
I hope this helps. Thanks!

In console it was not published, it is now. May need to wait for propagation?

The screen shot you sent I don’t see it displayed. I provided a couple of screenshots for your review. BTW I am using the free version. Not committing to the paid version until I test drive it first.

I would love to let you in but if not is there some you could recommend?
Thanks!
Hi @freddyboy377,
Thank you for the additional details! Were you able to resolve this issue? Once you publish your app, it will immediately take effect.
You just need to go to WP Mail SMTP -> Settings page and scroll down to the bottom to create a connection again. Please refer to this screenshot: https://a.supportally.com/i/Rrqm2Y
Let us know how it goes. Thank you!
