Not working on same server but latest CF7 / WordPress

    Hello. My contact form 7 will not send on a new version of a site. My old site on the same server is using CF7 4.4.2 with WP 4.6.11. The new install is using CF7 5.0.2 with WP 4.9.6. The new site shows the red failed to send message.

    I tried using the WP Email SMTP plugin. That would allow it send a test email in the plugin settings page. But it made no difference to CF7.

    I read some posts about changes to WP and JSON but that wasnt very clear?

    What else can I do? Any settings I should be changing or asking the web host about?

    I’ve also made sure the form is using <wordpress@Mydomain> in the from field too.

    See If You Have Email Problems – most people that work through this list of email sending issues are able to solve their particular problems.

    It’s almost certainly not a CF7 or WP version difference that is causing your problem – I’ve used all the different versions of WP & CF7 on several servers over the years without problems.

    Instead focus on checking each item in the list of email sending issues.

    Thanks Neil. It was the server. There was a php.ini file in the root directory that was blocking the CF7. Removed that file and problem solved.
