Not work anymore with last PHP/WordPress.

    Hey, i was using old wordpress/PHP version with Advanced Ads (v1.25.1) without any problem, but today i decide to update everything (Server/Wordpress) to last PHP version and wordpress too, but looks like ads is not working anymore, plugin install fine, but once i copy & past all PHP code (get it from ads network) and past it inside Advanced Ads, doesn”t work and if i choose /Head or /Body, keep getting error in whole website or critical error.

    Any solution ? or it’s because doesn’t support last PHP version ?

    Wordpress: 5.8.2
    PHP: 7.4

    This is what i get when i past it to /header or in /body

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘/’ in /home/MYUSERNAME/public_html/wp-content/plugins/advanced-ads/classes/ad_type_plain.php(155) : eval()’d code on line 1

    There has been a critical error on this website.

    Hi soufix,

    Thanks for reporting your problem. There is no known issue with the current WordPress version and PHP 7.4 yet.

    • Do you still use Advanced Ads 1.25 or the current version (1.30.2)?
    • Can you please copy an example of the ad code?

    I just test it last advanced ads plugin version using Local WordPress (last wordpress version) “bitnami” with same theme file, and works fine without problem. but when i tried in my dedicated server, i got that problem, is this mean problem from my server ? any hint what exactly i need to check . sry for my bad english

    Fixed by Web Host. It was because of “Problem was in PHP modules/extensions and PHP limits”.

    Hope will help anyone who got same problem.
