    Hi,

    I guess this topic has been treated many times, but I can’t find any answer to my problem : I don’t get confirmation email after subscription, and MailChimp list is not updated.

    The form shows a success message and there are no error messages in the debug log.
    MailChimp is well connected with API key.
    I tried to subscribe with another (new) email address, same problem.

    You can set MailChimp for WP to “log everything” on MailChimp for WP > Other page. If it mentioned in the log that the subscriber is send to MailChimp the job of the plugin is done. It’s MailChimp itself that sends out the opt-in and confirmation email.

    The “final welcome email” is only send when double opt-in is turned on, otherwise the email is seen as “imported” and the final welcome email will not be triggered.

    I recommend you contact MailChimp support about the opt in email not sending and of course check your spam folder and maybe your “SPF records”, that’s all stuff that MailChimp can help you with that is not related to our plugin.

    Form 1408 > Successfully subscribed *****

    I’ve exactly the same problem.
    @fredflohr Did you manage to solve it?

    In my case, I was setting up MC4WP with my personal API-key to design and test it. After that I changed the API-key to my customers MC-account. Now, I don’t receive any double-opt-in email. If I disable double-opt-in though, the user get’s added to the list.

    In both cases, whether double-opt-in is enabled or disabled, I receive the Successfully subscribed ***** log.

    If there us a Successfully subscribed ***** log it’s really “out of our hands”. From there it’s MailChimp sending out the opt-in email.

    I recommend you check your spam folder, and look into adding the MailChimp server to the SPF record of the clients domain name.
    You can contact Mailchimp support for more information regarding SPF records / anti spam measures.

    Please don’t get me wrong, this was not an allegation that your plugin is faulty or whatsoever. When I encountered the problem, I came across this thread, which is one of the most recent ones (2 weeks), and I was wondering if the author was able to troubleshoot the problem, or if anyone else knows what’s going on.

    We tested with 4-5 different emails and none of us received an email or spam-mail.

    Doing a quick API-request to usxx.api.mailchimp.com/3.0/lists/xxxx/members I can see the subscribers and they have the status “Pending”.
