Not keeping any data on computer

    In order to make child themes, tutorials say I need to do some changes in the WordPress folder that is stored on my computer. But I don’t have any such folder. I’m paying for hosting to IT company, and every time I want to do anything with my WordPress page I just login to the page using internet browser.
    What should I do to make child theme?
