Not import ALL images

I run the plugin on wp3.8 to import images from a site running on wp3.2.1. It imports only about half of all images and leaves the rest as they were. Since all the old image sources are publicly accessible, I guess the plugin needs some update to work well with wp3.8.
On wp3.7, it imports all images but some files are broken.
