not getting to install

dear BLog,
I’m really new to word press and programming, i have seen some great websites created with wordpress, so i’m trying to make my website again using word press.
i have buyed a mySQL for my website,
i have downloaded and unzipped the wordpress, i have changed the config with the databse information i’ve got, and then i have uploaded every single file onto my site, (there are also the old files uploaded) but when i go to /wp-admin/install.php and i fill the 2 text area with my admin and password, when cliking the CONTINUE TO SECOND STEP button nothing happens,
i stay on the same window.
i’m using safari and mac os x panther by the way.

Any help will be really apreciated. it really urges me to change the website asap.
