Hi, did you find a solution for this please?
Thanks.
I read the other posts but as many others, I won’t do neither the php things. So I guess we have to wait and for the future not update WP until qtranslate updates the new WP version. cheers
Hi there. I solved the problem. It is very easy.
Go to Plugins/Editor
Then select qTranslate from right top corner and hit edit.
Then go to the the editor and find QT_SUPPORTED_WP_VERSION and change the version from the written one to your version.
Then press Update.
Thats it. I was not working with me aswell but I did this and now it works.
Ok.. so I went into the Edito and changed from “6” to “7” and did the update. It is not working 100%. You can edit but WP now is not able to register a new line in a product discription for example. Anyways.. It worked “ok” but still a 900k ppl waiting for a good update without going into the editor. Thanks

That means this is not a fix, just a ruse to prevent qtranslate from disabling.
IMHO, consequently, changing 6 to 7 in the version info is not a viable solution.
uhm.. what is your post about? Just asking 🙂 or did you just want to share yout thoughts?
What is your post about? just curious… or are you just occuping space in the comments?
Lack of qtranslate compatibility with current and future WP versions is a big issue for clients who need to be able to update through the WordPress dashboard. They are not comfortable hacking php templates or just ignoring recurrent WordPress Core new version availible update messages that dominate the dashboard.
In that light, it would be good if the plugin author could advise whether plugin will be maintained current and give an approximate update date for current version.
In the event he can no longer assume such tasks due to other commitments, alternate language plugins should be preferred for live sites.
