Not blocking Sumo Share bar
-
Love the plugin!
I think I’ve got everything set up properly, but it doesn’t seem to be blocking the Sumo Share bar with __sdvid and __sdtoken as cookies (I think).
Thoughts? The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @2lovehim,
Thanks for the feedback, you are correct, Sumo is not yet listed in the third party services which are blocked. I have added it in the development code the coming update should resolve this.
I have released an update which should resolve this. Let me know if this helps!
I so appreciate your quick reply. Amazing!
Sumo Social Bar now appears in my list of cookies, so that’s great. However, in Google Incognito choosing “Deny” still didn’t block Sumo. You will see it appear on the left side of every page on http://www.vagabondfinances.com as well as elsewhere.
Either the Plugin isn’t blocking Sumo or it isn’t blocking anything. I’m not sure how to know.
I see that you guys incorporated several little tweaks – some suggested by me to Marc on your great chat support yesterday. Well done! You guys are working hard.
Thanks!Hi @2lovehim,
We will have a look. I see you are changing some things right now, and chatting with Marc at the same time:). We will get back to you soon.
Regards, Aert
I think I know what the problem is, it’s an async script, which needs to be treated differently. Hope to push out a fix tomorrow.
I have tested extensively with sumo, and on my testing environments it blocks sumo in different implementations without any problems.
I did notice a bug in the “accept” jquery, which caused the third party cookies not being accepted properly after clicking the accept in the warning. This is now fixed, and will be pushed out tonight.
If you want to see it in action with your sumo code, send us a message so we can send you the url to our staging site, which I’d rather not post here.
I have made some adjustments, and was able to get it working with your setup. The problem was that the domDocument functionality that was used to parse the html for third party scripts, is very sensitive to even small errors in the html. The result is that in this case, the script tag wasn’t found, and thus skipped.
I have now rebuilt the parser without the domDocument method, which should prevent such issues.
We’ll run some last tests, then release the update tonight.
You guys are amazing!
I had been working with a large, well-known company to get my GDPR up and running. After three weeks of frustration, I finally gave up because their support would take 2 or 3 days to reply and then gave me a non-helpful answer.
I used the Real Simple SSL Plugin (love it too!) and found you through that plugin.
So glad I found you and your product! Vagabondfinances.com would still be non-compliant if it weren’t for your straight-forward plugin and quick reply times!
I need to add you to my other WP site. I only wish you had an asp/php version too, so I could use you on my other two sites.
Thanks again!Working perfectly now.
I deleted SIX other GDPR plugins this morning that had let me down in one way or another. Complianz is the sole survivor.
Functionality and support are great. And the fact that it creates a personalized cookie page for me was just frosting on the cake.
Thanks!
