Not actually making anything HTTPS at all

use this in htacces in root

RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} !=443
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?example\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^$ https://example.com%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]

example edit with your domain name

I added this code to the top of the .htaccess file. Just change the domain name:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://yourwebsite.com/$1 [R,L]
