• Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to read!

I have a small problem. I am hosting the wordpress site on a raspberry pi through LAMPP. Now i can access my site from the internal network but not from the external network. When i try to do that i get a connection timed out, [raspberry pi ip] is taking too long.

I have tried disabling my plugins and even reverted back to the default theme. but nothing works.

the fun thing is, if i put /wp-admin/ behind the url like this arghos.zapto.org/wp-admin/ then i can still access the pages behind that! So it is only my actual website that is not loading.

Please help me, it is for a home project. setting up a wiki for my D&D players.

Already Did all of them, did not work

what does internal (intranet) and external (internet) network mean?
You can use wordpress on a specific url and in the case of multisite it must work with port 80 or 443.

that is exactly what i mean, from my local network i can access the full site, but from the internet (4G on my phone) i can only access the wordpress things behind it. I use it on port 80. It is port-forwarded but nothing happens.

Site works fine for me from here in Virginia, USA.

Maybe you fixed it or maybe you can’t loop out to the greater internet then back to your own network. That would possibly explain that problem.

Run up to the library and try it maybe. Dyn DNS ain’t always consistent!

Might even be your local browser cache getting confused and causing this problem. It can be a chicken or egg type problem in a way.
