Not able to install Woocommerce | WordPress.org

Hi team,

When I try to install woocommerce to my website it is not happening. Sometimes i am getting an 500-internal server error. And sometimes it is just ” Downloading install package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/woocommerce.2.6.4.zip…

Unpacking the package…

And after that nothing happens…What is this issue? Can someone help me pls

You can install it manually if the WP installer cannot handle it https://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation

Hi Mike,

I tried it. But the folder is seen in wp-content/plugins but i am not able to see the plugin in the Dashboard…

Perhaps your /wp-content/ folder or the child /plugins/ folder has a permissions issue. Are you able to install and activate other plugins?

Yes i am able to install certain plugins

Not sure what to tell ya. Maybe you didn’t upload a complete version of the plugin?

Try contacting your web host.
